La Jolla Cove Suites offers a 12,000 square foot rooftop venue overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The maximum occupancy is 225, we book one event a day, and there is no additional charge for a ceremony and reception. Our 1,200 square foot glass enclosure allows for indoor and outdoor accessibility throughout the year.
I would like to thank Katrina Lacape of Magical Party Rentals (
www.magicalpartyrentals.com) for spicing up the rooftop with her beautiful pin tuck aquos linen. What amazes me about Katrina is her willingness to help anyone out. Not only did she bring the linen guys, but she also stuck around and helped French Gourmet and us with set-up!!!
Paula Rae Anderson, of Rae Florae (
www.raeflorae.com) was gracious enough to display her beautiful arrangements this month. This month has been the busiest month for Paula Rae, extending her many thanks out to the group for the overwhelming number of leads provided each month. Paula Rae is not just a wedding florist, but also has an online floral order form if you are looking to send an arrangement to that certain someone.
Renee Hirsh with the French Gourmet (
www.thefrenchgourmet.com) and A Perfect Day with Renee brought such a delicious assortment of food. Shrimp and chicken to name a few were served family style amongst a table of eight. I did not realize until the meeting just how fun it is to have a family style meal at a work function. Our table had something fun to talk about as we swirled the lazy susan around to each other. Please be sure to keep in mind that Renee is also a wedding coordinator who specializes in day of coordination.
President Bob Brichmann of Artistic Productions (
www.artistic-productions.com) informed the group that we have a new representative for the Napa Valley Grille, Crissy Riddle (
www.napavalleygrille.com). Carrie Esparza is now our new contact for Authentic Flavors Custom Catering (
www.sdauthenticflavors.com).

Members that attended the Bridal Bazaar at the Del Mar Racetrack stated that the show was a success. Please be sure to visit fellow members at the SD Bay Wine and Food Festival starting on November 12, 2008.
Membership Chairlady, Merrylin Brichmann of Artistic Productions ((
www.artistic-productions.com) welcomed Catering Manager, Meredith Warfel of the Del Mar Hilton into the group.
Marketing Diva, Shannon Henry of True Photography (
www.truephotography.com) recently sent out the constant contact email blast sample to each member. If you did not, or were unable to receive the email, please contact Shannon at: Shannon@truephotography.com. The email went out to 950 brides that had registered to San Diego Style Weddings Magazine.
After lunch, the group received the new budget plan approved by the board to increase rates for 2009. Premiere membership has increased to $400.00 and the Associate membership has increased to $250.00. Associate members must pay $30.00 before each meeting that they wish to attend in order to cover the cost of food. For those of you who have multiple businesses within the group, there will be an additional $50.00 charge for each listing on top of your premiere listing. If you are unable to pay for the entire year, be sure to speak to either the President or Treasurer about a bi-annual payment plan.

Winners will be announced at the Christmas party scheduled on Tuesday, December 09, 2008.
Speaking of the Christmas party, Founding President, Susan Ashley Howell, of Romantic Honeymoons and Holiday Travel has informed us that we will be celebrating at Continental Catering’s new venue on December 09, 2008 from 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM. There is no additional cost for members to attend. If you wish to bring a guest, the cost is $35.00 and children are $20.00. The Chinese gift exchange is not mandatory, if you do wish to participate, please bring a wrapped gift valued at $20.00 or more. Look for the official evite to come out soon with clearer details.

www.continentalcateringsd.com) was the raffle winner of a One Night Stay in an Oceanfront Full Size Suite at the La Jolla Cove Suites.
